“The college admissions review classes have been a big help to me, so far. I enjoy every minute inside the classroom reviewing the past lessons I loved and disliked. I especially like the fact that there are homeworks given almost everyday because instead of lazing around at home doing nothing, I get to understand the topic more and at the same time do something worthwhile.” - Jeia
“Review centers are very popular nowadays, especially to those of incoming fourth year high school students. These centers help you review for College Admission Tests or Entrance Exams - as what most would call it. Some centers help you review for the entrance exam of a specific school, and some prepare you for all the schools’ tests. In my case, I go to a center that only refreshes your mind for most college entrance exams, but also helps me set the goals I want to reach in the future.
I go to Create and Learning Paths. In CLP, they do not only help you prepare for these tests, but also help you focus on choosing the course that best suits you. On our first day of classes, we were asked to go 10 to 15 years into the future and see where we want to be. For me, I see this step as to being a motivation to really work hard for what we want to become. In the days that followed, we touched on the general topics we’ve had for the past two years. Each week we are given simulation tests. These tests are similar to those of what the actual admission tests will look like. We are asked to dedicate five to six hours of our weekend to answer these tests - undisturbed, focused, concentrated, and time pressured - as to how the real exam would feel like. This is to prepare us for the long, long hours of sitting and understanding every question of the admission test.
I do hope and pray that I get into the college that I dream to be in with the course I wish to take. I am sure CLP’s review program is going to be a big help for me to achieve and reach these dreams of mine." - Marge
