Parent Partnership
Parents play the most important role in the educational process and development of the students. As such, a mutual understanding and cooperation can only be attained if communication lines are always open. Parents may request for Parent-Teacher conferences whenever they need to. Parents should call the school or coordinate with the child’s teacher as often as possible.
Official communication from the school is sent in the form of memos duly signed or noted by the director/Level coordinator. Text and online messages are also sent. Parents are expected to read and accomplish the reply slip not more than (3) days after distribution.
The Communication Notebook is another means of communication for parents and the school. Students are required to bring it to school daily, and parents are expected to read and sign it everyday. In case of loss, the student must secure a replacement /substitute specified for that purpose. Homeworks and Projects are also indicated in the communication notebook. Parents also receive other pertinent information via email or SMS. Failure to respond to a memo, a note in the communication notebook or other forms of communication three (3) days in a row would mean the parent will be called for a PTC.
Other Parent Responsibilities in this partnership will include involvement in the activities of the school as shown in the School’s Calendar. Parents may volunteer to offer their carpool services, or to guest as resource speakers for the classes. Sponsorship for special school events are also activities which the parent may engage in.
Parents are also encouraged to join CLP in advocating for Peace, Social Awareness, and Community Leadership by supporting Outreach programs and attending Parent Education Programs initiated by the school. For the preschoolers, their nannies or “yayas” are required to attend the school’s yaya training program and to participate in the activities of the school or to assist the teachers in whatever way they can.
